Yappler ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by WeReply Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Yappler platform, including our website, chatbot deployment tools, and embedded chatbot widgets (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account, deploy a chatbot, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, and password
  • Business name, website URL, and industry
  • Billing and payment information (processed securely by our payment provider)
  • Content you upload to train your chatbot (documents, FAQs, website data)
  • Communications you send us

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you or your visitors interact with the Service, we automatically collect:

  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • IP address and approximate geographic location (country/city level)
  • Pages visited, time spent, and click patterns
  • Chatbot conversation transcripts (to improve response quality)
  • Referral URLs and search terms

1.3 Conversation Data

When end users interact with chatbots deployed on the Yappler platform, conversation messages may be stored to enable features such as conversation history, response improvement, and analytics. Chatbot owners may access transcripts of conversations held with their deployed bots. End users interacting as guests are assigned an anonymous session token.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • Train and personalise your chatbot based on your content
  • Process transactions and send related notices
  • Send administrative communications, security alerts, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments and questions
  • Monitor usage patterns and analyse trends to improve user experience
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your chatbot training content to train shared AI models without your explicit consent.

3. Sharing of Information

We may share your information with:

  • Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics). These parties are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • AI model providers: We use third-party large language model APIs to power chatbot responses. Conversation data may be transmitted to these providers under data processing agreements.
  • Legal authorities: Where required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. Conversation transcripts are retained for up to 12 months by default, after which they are deleted unless you have enabled extended retention. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in across sessions
  • Remember your preferences
  • Understand how visitors navigate the platform
  • Measure the effectiveness of our features

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the Service may not function properly without cookies.

6. International Data Transfers

Yappler operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country in which you reside, including countries that may have different data protection laws. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to protect your data during international transfers.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
